Clarence: The Traffic Calming Sasquatch

Taking the Clarence: The Traffic Calming Maniac concept one step further...

This time in Portland, Oregon where Dan Kaufman from Crank My Chain! Cycle TV goes searching for the long lost bigfoot in an area well known for its traffic calming. He stumbles upon the ever-elusive, mythic character and finds that safer streets have coaxed him out of the wild.

Dan Kaufman: [00:00] Dan Kaufman here in Ladd’s Addition in Portland, Oregon, one of the most beautifully traffic-calmed areas in the country. We’ve heard rumours that there’s some creature… hey, wait, there he is.

[pause]

Dan Kaufman: [00:18] Hey, hey, wait, I want to talk to you. Hey, come back here. What’s your name?

Clarence: [00:26] Clarence.

Dan Kaufman: [00:27] Clarence. What are you doing here in this neighbourhood? Bigfoot hasn’t been seen around here for hundreds of years.

Clarence: [00:33] The traffic calming is very good. It makes me feel safe.

Dan Kaufman: [00:37] I think he’s talking about traffic calming. Maybe he feels comfortable here. You feel secure here because there’s traffic calming?

Clarence: [00:47] Yeah, yeah. Traffic calming, I show you.

Dan Kaufman: [00:51] Okay.

[music]

Clarence: [01:10] So I came down outta the mountains, because the cars were no longer dangerous. Safer to bike now.

[music]

Clarence: [01:12] This here is a traffic circle. Makes cars go slower and in a circle. Things like this make for more livable streets. It’s safe.

[music]

Clarence: [01:53] Look at this… a bicycle amenity!

[music]

Clarence: [02:36] Speed hump is very close to my heart. I love the speed hump.

[music]

Clarence: [03:03] It’s safe. It’s safe.

I don't know what to say. First, I'm amazed that you caught a sasquatch on camera, and second, that he loves traffic calming?? That's quite an unexpected surprise.

Excellent and groundbreaking reporting once again, everyone.

I traded in my hovercraft for a bicycle a few months back. Glad to see others doing the same.

  • T & R

I am glad to see that Sasquatch knows all the correct hand signal techniques for riding a bike. All those years in the woods, and he is educated enough to teach himself to ride a bike properly.

    Although I don't know where he'll get a helmet.

How cool! I can't believe I missed him on my commute, waah!

Clarence, hmmm is that a cousin of yours? I love that he has running shoes on. Man, everyone out there sure does like to keep fit.

  • Bigfoot Believer

I'm sorry but this is totally FAKE!!!!!!! And just another example of sSasquatch users of by skeptics. I live in Skamania County, Wash. and I can tell you Sasquatch real and they hates cars but they are probably intellegent enough to ride a bycicle.

I hope you are attacked once by bigfoot even thogh they don't do that.

This highlights the problem of Bigfoot becoming acclimated to human society. If Clarence is going to ride a bike in public, could he at least wear some pants? Please? Thank you.
