Portland, Ore. – Older Adults Bike Program
The Portland Office of Transportation (PDOT) recently launched a new program to re-introduce older adults to bicycling. Many of the participants haven't ridden a bike in over 50 years. Wow! Smiles and good feelings abound.
Excellent! This is a great example of social justice in action--making bicycling available to folks who aren't the usual able-bodied, two-wheeled riders. Thanks, Portland, for giving us good example once again.
What a great idea and what a great film! You just made my day.
