Streetfilms Help New York to “Grow and Green”

The Museum of the City of New York debuted it’s exhibit, “Growing and Greening New York: PlaNYC and the Future of the City” last night, on an unusually balmy December evening.

The exhibit guides visitors through a 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. weekday, using elements of everyday life to help people explore, imagine and realize a greener, healthier and more efficient New York City by the year 2030.  Three Streetfilms, Bus Rapid Transit: Bogota, Summer Streets, and Velib, are exhibited to show New Yorkers the great potential of urban transportation and public space.

The exhibit runs from December, 15 – April, 12.  If you live or work in East Harlem, say “I’m a neighbor” at the door and the suggested admission is waived.  After the exhibit, take a stroll or bike ride through Central Park, where you'll be sure to realize the benefits of fewer cars, more green space, and people powered transportation.
